The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Downloads Panel' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Downloads Panel

I couldn't reproduce this issue using Firefox 100 under Win 10, 64-bit.

Could you please share what type of extension files you downloaded?
Also, please open about:crashes in a new tab, copy the crash id (if any) and paste it here. It will help further debugging this.
Thank you!

Thank you for adding the crash id - the signature is similar with the one from bug 1715017 (added to See Also and not as a dupe, at this point, since there STR are quite different), with a spike in Firefox 100 and 93.0% of the crashes happening under Win 11.

Crash Signature: @ _chkstk | nsSprocketLayout::GetXULPrefSize
See Also: → 1715017

updating crash signature

Crash Signature: @ _chkstk | nsSprocketLayout::GetXULPrefSize → [@ _chkstk | nsSprocketLayout::GetXULPrefSize]

The bug has a crash signature, thus the bug will be considered confirmed.
