Bug 1747760 implements structures to improve type checking around audio codec specific data. As I'm unfamiliar with the OMX Decoder I didn't use any extra type checking there. However, it makes sense that we could have further type checking there to improve clarity and ensure we're not feeding unexpected data to the decoder.
