User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:100.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/100.0
Steps to reproduce:
It's hard to tell, but I think it often happens when I come back after having locked Windows (Windows 11, but I seem to think it happened on 10 as well) and logging back in.
Actual results:
The entire Firefox window turns black. The cursor still changes when I hover over where a text box seems to be, and if I click and drag where a tab would be, the tab's thumbnail appears, but other than that, black. Everything. Just. Black. Even if a open a new window. I have to close all instances of Firefox and reopen it for it to resolve.
Expected results:
I should have seen the website I'm currently on, the tabs, the address bar, the titlebar icons...

Can you attach your about:support
information? Sounds like it may be driver/hardware specific.

Sounds like a potential driver related suspend/resume issue, where we probably need to do a device reset, but we weren't told to. Does killing the GPU process resolve the issue without restarting Firefox?

Hi guys, thanks. This also happens during normal use as well, but it seems to be more prominent when recovering from sleep. I can't reproduce it, and it happens once or twice a week.

So it happened again just now and thought I'd play a bit.
If I hit alt-f, I get the menu and can navigate through it, but opening any other FireFox window still remains black, even, for instance, the "about" window.
I could click where the close button should be, and it closed fine, so it seems everything still works underneath the blackness.
Opening FF again landed me on Slack. This time I locked and unlocked my laptop, so couldn't remember exactly where I was, but I did send a
message last before I quickly left. I'll try and keep track of which tab is open when this happens, perhaps it's relevent. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Another update - I was taking a quick admin break to do a nonogram, and this time it happened when I clicked on a cell. Both my FF windows went black.

Perhaps also worth noting, is that I have it zoomed in slightly so it fills the screen better. Which also reminds me, perhaps it's related, my system has one screen "scaled" to 150% on a Windows level, as it's a 1920x1080 14" laptop screen. The blackout happens regardless of which screen (the laptop screen or the 23" next to it) FF is running in.

And lastly, it blacked out yesterday the moment I clicked on a Google Drive tab which had the "player" interface loaded to play a .wav file.
If there's some log dump I can access via keyboard shortcuts or get it off the file system somewhere when it happens, I'll be happy to send it on.
