Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20021027 Chimera/0.5+
The flash object at http://www.dcfever.com draws to the toolbar, menubar and
event the titlebar when the page is unloaded and hence corrupts all the UI.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Goto http://www.dcfever.com
2. Goto another web site, for example http://www.slashdot.org
Actual Results:
The titlebar, and toolbar is corrupted, possibly by the flash object at
www.dcfever.com
Minimizing the window and restore it fix the problem.
Expected Results:
The titlebar and all Chimera UI should not be painted and work correctly.
Michael:
I'm not able to load http://www.dcfever.com. Are there any other sites I can use
to confirm this bug?
Sounds like a duplicate of bug 172449, although the reporter's build id says
they're using the 10-27 build which should not be able to reproduce bug 172449.
Michael: Did you encounter this bug with the 2002102704 build or an earlier one?

I encounter the bug in build 2002-10-27. The web site www.dcfever.com should be
up, I've verified it at 10:27HKT 29-Oct. I'll try tonight if build 2002-10-28
also fails.

To reach dcfever.com use http://202.85.138.75/ the site is to new.
I am able to confirm that one of the Flash animations on this page is corrupting
the top 2 pixels of the titlebar only in the 2002102904 build on 10.2.1 with
Flash Plug-in 6.0r29. This only occurs when leaving the page and disappears as
soon as the window is resized or redrawn.
Severity: normal → minor
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Correction: If you scroll about 1/4 of the way down the page before you load a
new page, it can also leave artifacts at the bottom of the status bar.

I see the flash ad on the right draw as a gray box in the wrong place at page
unload time; i saw it draw over the toolbar, but the toolbar was redrawn just
fine soon after.
I think we still have some plugin positioning issues at page load and unload time.

Confirming information in Comment #6. Grey rectangle appears on main toolbar as
I was leaving the site. Strange... However, Toolbar does get repainted when the
next url is loaded. Tested under 10.2.1 using 2002-10-30-04 NB.

Is this still reproducible?

I've sold my powerbook and waiting for my new iBook to come. I'll verify once my
Mac came home.

Still reproducable in Chimera 2002112604. For me, most of the artifacts are
erased on redraw, but there are a couple lines of peristant artifacts that won't
go away until the window is resized.

This doesn't only happen for Flash or other plugins; it happens for regular page
objects as well.
See 183880 and dropped 184758.

I have this issue when going to http://www.macfreak.org, they have this flash
menu a the bottom of the page. When you go to another webpage after having
visited macfreak there are flash artifacts on the status bar! This is a very
recent issue, perhaps the new 7 beta flash plugin.

I can't reproduce this with a recent self-built camino on 10.2.8. WFM.

Marking WFM using 20050130 NB. I haven't seen this issue in a long long time.
