User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:100.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/100.0

Steps to reproduce:

Say you have 3 tabs open, you are currently on the 2nd tab.
Now you open a link on that page in a new tab and change (from the 2nd) to that new 4th tab. After checking it out, you close that 4th tab.

Actual results:

You find yourself on the 3rd tab. But what you really want to do is to continue where you left off - which would be the 2nd tab!

Expected results:

So in short when closing a tab, Firefox should take you to the previous active tab instead of the parent/left tab.

This would an optional pref in about:config
Reason for this request is the fact that currently there are no add-ons that offer this behavior.

The best i could find put a button in the toolbar that when clicked allowed me to switch between current active and last active tabs but behavior when closing current active was unchanged.

I will set this enhancement as new so the engineering team could decide if they take in consideration changing this.

I'd like to see this in Firefox, just like it is in Zen Browser.
