Followed the link.
Tried "Refresh firefox" at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-wont-start-find-solutions
No luck:
- open three tabs (see after_refresh_firefox.png)
- logout then login again from the KDE session
- after restart firefox restarts freezed (see logout_login_freeze.png)
I also tried deleting the ".mozilla" directory and forcing firefox to create a new one. The behaviur is the same.
There is anything else I can try?

I could not reproduce issue on Ubuntu 20.4, using build 100.0.2 and 101.0. Can you please try with a new profile and see if the issue still reproduces with the new profile (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles).

BTW I'm using Kubuntu that uses KDE; instead Ubuntu uses GNOME.
I tried:
- delete the profile
- create a new profile
- reboot the system
- login and open three tabs
- logout and login: Firefox freezes
There is anything else that I can try?
I experience the same bug since the 100 update. I'm using Manjaro with i3 and Firefox is currently on version 101.0.1.
I tried creating a new profile, opening a few tabs within the new profile followed by restarting the system. Firefox still hangs with the new profile.

ccasar, same is happening here, but only if Firefox starts on a backgrounded workspace. (e.g. when swallowed by a layout)
If I remove the layout rule and let Firefox start on the currently-active workspace, everything works fine, also when starting it manually.
I've sent a SIGSEGV to one such frozen instance and sent in a crash report, in case that helps: https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/1dcfe92f-0bfa-4354-866d-331fb0220629.

I am not able to reproduce the issue on Kubuntu22.04 using latest Firefox build 106.0.3.
Reporters do you still experience the freeze? Thank you.

This just happened again on 109.0b9, Developer Edition. At least the process was responsive and immediately closed when closing the window, but alas, all my tabs were gone.
