I've got the same issue. Firefox on Debian on ChromeOS. Screenshot attached. This seems to be a new issue. Firefox 111.01

ra_hardy, could you attach the PDF? Maybe it is the same issue, maybe it is a new one.
Here's an example

On the front page, just the Capital S renders.
Firefox on Windows is ok

:ra_hardy, can you test with Firefox nightly (113) ?
I just tested with nightly on Fedora with Wayland or Xorg and it works for me in both cases.
Could try also to disable canvas acceleration ? i.e. in about:config
, set gfx.canvas.accelerated
to false
.

Reproduced the issue on Firefox 103.0a1 on macOS 14.5 by following the infos provided in Github link from Comment 0.
The issue is fixed on Firefox 127.0b2. Tests were performed on macOS 14.5, Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.04.
