User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:101.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/101.0

Steps to reproduce:

Go to any site (ie. Google.com) and begin typing in the search bar. After a second or two, the cursor will jump to the beginning of the search bar.

Actual results:

This happens on multiple sites:

Expected results:

The cursor should not jump to the beginning of the text bar like that. It is as IF I am hitting the home key, but I am not. This does not happen in other browsers.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Address Bar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Do you have any add-ons installed?

Could you try loading this from the address bar then try typing?

data:text/html,<input type="text">

And maybe also check

data:text/html,<input type="text" autofocus>
