User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 I tried to download a midi file and the quicktime plugin comes up and then text start scrolling. If I try to download by selecting download - save target of link, it insists that it is an html document and tries to save as a mid.html. Also seen similar effects on www.koch-schmidt.de/cronnix where it insist on downloading a .dmg file as .dmg.html. I strongly suspect that it is a problem of the site not setting something correctly, but I need to confirm that before I bitch at them. They will just tell me that it works in "internet explorer" and indeed the download of the midi works fine in IE. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to download a file 2. 3. Actual Results: tries to save an html file Expected Results: save a .mid or a .dmg file (depending on the sites. As I say, I suspect it is the site, but there should be some work-around so that I can get the data down.
The site seems to require a correct referrer header.... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 170722 ***
