Having just downloaded 1.1 HPUX, and having issues, I had to go to a _different machine_ *with a browser installed* to read the html Release Notes that explained why mozilla wouldnt work (needed GTK libraries form HP). Anyone else see the irony of this? If (text) Release Notes were included in ftp download directory along with README, it would have saved me grief! Submitted respectfully
The relnotes are accessible from the download page, so it's not impossible to view them prior to download and installation. But we should put any issues related to problems of startup of Mozilla in the Read Me. I don't think we need to change how the relnotes are accessed. Checking them into the ftp directories would lead to some file-management overhead. Changing summary from "Release Notes should be in ftp download directories." Ccing jatin and robin.
Summary: Release Notes should be in ftp download directories → Startup problems should be documented in the Read Me
