Details

During testing Gnomes upcoming VRR implementation, several people run into issues with our current WaylandVsyncSource implementation. Likely due to a feedback loop the refresh rate seems to drop to the monitors minimum when it should run at e.g. full speed.

Looks like this was a bug in the Mutter MR: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/1154#note_1476272

Closing for now, may reopen in case there's something actionable.
