Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:101.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/101.0

Steps to reproduce:

Opened Firefox after booting up iMac.

Actual results:

Default, or any, page is very slow to load - over a minute - when Firefox is first loaded, no matter how long after bootup. The page doesn't matter, and Firefox is faster afterwards, but the initial page load is now very much slower than it used to be, or than other pages loading are subsequently.

Expected results:

Initial pages should have loaded as fast as later pages.

Using version 101.0.1 (64-bit)

Thank you for logging this one Scott.
We just recently fixed a bug that sounds just like this one.
See Bug 1567863 and Bug 1702600.

The fix will be in version 102.
If you like you can test this in Firefox nightly, or else wait until 102 is released, I believe 2022-06-28.

Marking this as a dup, but if 102 or Nightly aren't any better, please reopen this.
