Downloads.rdf just grows and grows in size as files are downloaded. This can be a problem for everybody as one might not think to (regurlarly) clear the list of downloaded files. I once deleted a 1.2MB dowloads.rdf from a profile. If you introduce a preference for this it ought to be set to clear as the default.
What build are you using? _ALWAYS_ include this infomation in bug reports, please.
