This issue is no longer reproducible in the latest Nightly 131.0a1 from 08/19 and Beta 130.0b5 with Google Pixel 8 Pro (Android 14) and Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 (Android 12). The media player state is displayed in tabs tray with fission:autostart set to true and false.
Cannot verify this issue with GVE 131.0a1-default.
