Details

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Firefox in Windows - private or regular window, no extensions enabled. I have not been able to reproduce this bug in MacOS.
  2. Navigate to a page that has a forward slash in the page title, ex https://github.com/EngineersNeedArt/SystemSix
  3. Drag the URL to a Windows Explorer window or desktop.

Actual results:

A folder is created, named with the page title text before the slash, and inside the folder is an empty file named with the text after the slash. No shortcut or URL information is saved.

Page titles with multiple forward slashes will give different Windows file system errors as it attempts to create nested folders.

Expected results:

A .URL file is created.
