Note:

  • This issue occurs only on HDPi monitor, with yellow color on High contrast mode.(macOS11)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch Firefox and set pdfjs.annotationEditorMode = 0
  2. Access any pdf form, ex: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040.pdf
  3. Toggle on Add Ink Annotation button
  4. Set font color and line color to yellow

Expected result:

  • Text and drawing should be visible on the second monitor with HDPi.

Actual result:

  • Text and drawing are not visible on the second monitor with HDPi. Please see screenshots.

Additional notes:

  • Text and drawing are visible on MacOS11 display but not on the second monitor with HDPi.

  • I don't now if this is a regression but I will come back with regression range ASAP.

You mentioned High Contrast Mode, could tell us what are exactly your HCM settings ?

We discussed this on Matrix, it looks like it's a problem with how the screen is showing the colors, not a bug in Firefox. It shouldn't be a problem for accessibility, because it is the user who chooses the color, and the user simply won't select such a light color.
