Steps to reproduce:

When I copy from a website, Firefox freezes for a few minutes.

This happens:

  1. I tried it in a few different websites, including GitHub.com.
  2. when I use mouse to select and copy.
  3. When I use keyboard shortcut to copy.
  4. copy from a text input, textarea, or a plain non-editable text.

This seems to happen in the "cold" copy. So if I haven't copied for a while, and I copy, it'll happen. When it becomes responsive again and I copy again, it doesn't freeze.

Actual results:

Firefox isn't responsive for a few minutes after I copy.

Expected results:

Firefox should be responsive after I copy.

Looking at the profile you provided, now I'm quite convinced this is the same issue than bug 1774285. Therefore I'm duping to that bug that showed some progress.
TLDR: there's a bug in Windows 11's Suggested Actions features. They seem to have a fix coming in.
Microsoft suggested turning off that feature in Settings > System > Clipboard and seeing if it mitigates the issue.
