User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0
Steps to reproduce:
When I copy from a website, Firefox freezes for a few minutes.
This happens:
- I tried it in a few different websites, including GitHub.com.
- when I use mouse to select and copy.
- When I use keyboard shortcut to copy.
- copy from a text input, textarea, or a plain non-editable text.
This seems to happen in the "cold" copy. So if I haven't copied for a while, and I copy, it'll happen. When it becomes responsive again and I copy again, it doesn't freeze.
Actual results:
Firefox isn't responsive for a few minutes after I copy.
Expected results:
Firefox should be responsive after I copy.

This bug was moved into the Performance component. Reporter, could you make sure the following information is on this bug?
- For slowness or high CPU usage, capture a profile with http://profiler.firefox.com/ , upload it and share the link here.
- Troubleshooting information: Go to about:support, click "Copy raw data to clipboard", paste it into a file, save it, and attach the file here.
Thank you.

Looking at the profile you provided, now I'm quite convinced this is the same issue than bug 1774285. Therefore I'm duping to that bug that showed some progress.
TLDR: there's a bug in Windows 11's Suggested Actions features. They seem to have a fix coming in.
Microsoft suggested turning off that feature in Settings > System > Clipboard and seeing if it mitigates the issue.
Thanks for your help!
