Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:101.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/101.0

Steps to reproduce:

I scrolled down the newsfeed using the mouse wheel.

Actual results:

I reach a point when the page starts scrolling down without any corresponding action me. There are numerous reports on the support forum, in particular https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1382198

Expected results:

One expects the page to scroll down only when one has moved the scrollbar or the mouse wheel down.

Component: Untriaged → Panning and Zooming
Product: Firefox → Core

I could not reproduce on Ubuntu 20.4/ Win10 using builds 101.0, 102.0.1, 103.0. I also tried Twitter and Reddit as mentioned in the comments but the issue still not reproducing. Can you get a profile that still reproduces the issue? Thank you.

What profile (or information) do you want?

I believe Monica was referring to a performance profile, taken using https://profiler.firefox.com/ while reproducing the issue.

Let's dupe this over to the very similar earlier report of bug 1781145.

(watchman, please feel free to post a link to a profile in that bug.)
