Firebase relies upon sessionStorage to complete its auth flows. When we make sessionStorage always partitioned the shims no longer work because the sessionStorage in the embedded iframe no longer has the same storage principal as the login page.

Adding a fix that we will have to determine if we want to keep long term. That decision will be tracked in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1781820

This is controlled by a preference so we can disable it for experimentation later.
