The CSSWG resolved to adopt Tab's draft SVG Parameters Spec as a way to pass css variable values (e.g. colors) into SVG images.

I'm filing this bug to track our implementation of the feature, once we're ready to start implementing.

(Side note: once we have this feature implemented -- even if we're not ready to expose it to the web yet e.g. due to ongoing spec discussion/stabilization -- we could hypothetically start using the feature internally, as a replacement for our current non-standard -moz-context-properties approach discussed in bug 1379464 and bug 1388193.)

I guess this bug should be closed as duplicate of bug 1812163, as that one refers to the official spec. and already has two bug references. Only the note about replacing -moz-context-properties is missing there.
