Currently Audit Cases get closed automatically when the Case status is "Verification By Root Store " and all of the tabs have either "No Data to Verify" or "Data Verified". Once a Case is closed, the contents in it can no longer be edited. This situation can surprise a root store operator.
Options to consider:
Option 1) Allow the case to automatically get changed to "Complete" but don't close it automatically. Instead, provide a clear indication in the task lists, Case Comment, and Case Progress tab that the Case is ready to be closed. And add a button on the Case Progress tab(?) for closing the Case. (would also need the root store task lists to show Completed cases that are not closed)
Note: There is a "Close" button on the Case -- maybe it can be used for this situation as well? (the text in it would need to be changed).
Option 2) Add a pop-up before the Case gets automatically set to close.
Pop-up
Text: Are you ready to close this Case?
Buttons: "Close Case" and "Keep Case Open"
If the user clicks on "Keep Case Open", then add a Case Comment: Data verified, but Case kept open. Unless you make further changes and verify additional information, you will need to click on the "Close" button to close this Case.
Also, update the "Close" button pop-up text to:
Close Case?
Do you want to close this Case?
If yes, provide reason for closing this Case, and then click on the 'Save' button below, otherwise click on 'Cancel'.

This has been implemented and is now in production.
When the Case has status "Verification By Root Store" and all of the tabs have status "No Data to Verify" or "Data Synced", the Case Request Status will be changed to "Complete". And the "Close Now" button changes to "Close Case". Then the root store operator clicks on the "Close Case" button when they are truly done with the case.
