FREQUENTLY when surfing pages return "Connection Refused".  sometimes a refresh
works, sometime i have to switch back to IE just so look at stuff.  Mostly its
pages like GOOGLE or YAHOO or something that obviously shouldnt return the error.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on links to other web sites.

Actual Results:  
produce a CONNECTION REFUSED BY THE SERVER message

Expected Results:  
Load the page.

Default theme, no crashing, my computer is configured normally (AKA no GATOR or
BONZI BUDDY or anything unusual or damaging to my knowlege)  however, I do
usually have alot of programs running.

LOL "slashdotted"?  That would mean that a site that is trying to DEFEND patents
cant even keep the proof on the internet long enough!

I used 20021114 and 1115 build and it is not "frequent" but "100%"...
I switch back to 22021107 build..

Same problem here.  Occurrs from links.  No problems from the address bar or
bookmarks.(yet)  Most common on Yahoo.(Connection to rd.yahoo.com refused)  Also
seen on Netscape.com (Connections to ns.netscape.com refused)

I get Connection Refused by Server errors
on all websites with All Mozilla-Family Products
later than Mozilla 1.4b,
including browsers and email.

ie:
mozilla 1.5, 1.5b
thunderbird
firebird

email and browsing are both fine up thru & including mozilla 1.4b.

Please disregard my previous comment.

I had some remnants of a ZoneAlarm installation hanging around,
which i removed and now thunderbird/firebird seem fine,
and i have yet to try the later Mozilla builds.

Altho it is still true that Mozilla itself changed
behaviour on my system between 1.4b and 1.5a

Regarding comment #7, it's probably because of Kazaa, which creates a hostname
mapping of rd.yahoo.com to localhost.
