Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click on the desired date (e.g. 31.08.2022)
  2. Click on New (Meeting) (Neuer Termin)
  3. In the opening dialog window the 31.08.2022 is not suggested in the start date. Instead today (18.08.2022) yesterday (17.08.2022) is displayed. Maybe tomorrow the 17.08.2022 still would be displayed.

Same behavior within tasks (Neue Aufgabe).

Actual results:

One must fill in the date and time from sratch every time. In TB 92.12 all worked as espected and formerly used.

Expected results:

The date should be displaey automaticaly within the start date field. (If I want to make an appointment for the 31.08.2022 and I click on the date, this should be used in the start date field. See attached picture.)

Summary: Calendar/Tasks suggets wrong date → Calendar/Tasks suggests wrong date

Could be related to Bug #1739823 but in an official Version (102.1.2). And it's a bit different since not the current date is shown in the Date field but the date of the last Thunderbird start.

Hardware: Desktop → x86_64
Component: Untriaged → Calendar Frontend
Product: Thunderbird → Calendar

I found, that not the last start date would be displayed as the start date, but the date which is highlighted at the "mini-month" within a calendar-tab. If calendar-tab is closed, one can't even know why the date is different from the current or the in the mini-month clicked date. (If e.g. 31.082022 is highlighted in calendar tab this would be shown as start date not the current or any other chosen one if "New meeting" (Neuer Termin) is clicked from the Calender sidebars mini-month.) It seems to be a stepping fault - once you choose a date in calendar-tab this will noch change till the next start of Thunderbird. If you use hibernation every day apparently is the last start day ...? Interesting: Tasks do not depend from the date choosen in the mini-month from a tasks-tab. The "New Task" with the mini-month from calender sidebar works as intented.

I hope this is reproducable from my description. Sorry if not: my English seems to be a bit to poor.
