User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:103.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/103.0

Steps to reproduce:

I upgraded to Thunderbird 102.1.2 (64 bit) a few days ago.
user agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/102.1.2
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 OS build 19043.1889
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0

Actual results:

Since the upgrade I have had trouble connecting to my Sonic.net email account (IMAP). Before the upgrade when I opened Thunderbird a dialog box opened, asking for my Sonic password. I entered it, and email then downloaded. After the upgrade, when I open Thunderbird the password dialog box doesn't appear, and Thunderbird just sits there with an indication that it is waiting for something.

I found an awkward work-around. If I send an email to another account the dialog box opens, asking for my password for the outbound server. After I enter the password a second dialog box opens, asking for the password for the inbound server. I enter the password, Thunderbird connects, and any new emails are downloaded.
I just checked on another computer I have, which still has the older version of Thunderbird (94). That version of Thunderbird acts correctly, as it always does.
Thunderbird 102 acts as though something is keeping the dialog box for inbound server from opening.

However, email downloads automatically from my my gmail account, which uses OAuth2 instead of a regular password. The gmail account has a saved password. But when I tried a saved password with the Sonic.net account it had the same problem of waiting for something, and not downloading email.

Expected results:

A dialog box should appear, asking for my Sonic.net email account password. Then any new email should download

Summary: Problem entering password for email account Thunderbird 102.1.2 64 bit → Password prompt does not appear for sonic email account
Blocks: tb102found

I checked on another computer that had an older version of Thunderbird that version 91.12.0 (64 bit) still works correctly for my account, as it did before (the password dialog box comes up). So the problem started with version 102, and was not caused by some other issue.

Can you try the very latest 102?

first IMAP log after workaround (force password dialog box to appear by sending an email)

second IMAP log file (continuation of first log) after workaround forces second password entry box to appear

I am using 102.1.2 (64 bit), which is the latest available version. That is the version that has the issue, older versions do not.
I am attaching two log files, taken a few minutes apart. The first is from just after opening Thunderbird, waiting a short time, then using the awkward work-around I found: I send a dummy email to myself. When I do that, the password box appears for the outbound message. The first log file is from just after that password entry. Then a second password box opens. The second log file was captured just after the second password entry. I think it is a continuation of the first file.
