Details

I use FF iOS on iPhone 13 (all updates applied). I noticed something odd in the long-press launch option from my home screen. Even after deleting all website data and history and closing the app completely, the Open Last Bookmark option shows up with what appears to be my most recent opened book mark.

  1. I wouldn't expect this be happen if I've cleared all data. Is this how the feature is supposed to work?

  2. Whether I delete all data as above or not, the in the hard-press menu bookmark doesn't actually show the last or most recent bookmark opened. Rather it opens the bookmark at the top of the bookmark list in the "hamburger" menu. Is this the expected behavior?

The severity field is not set for this bug.

UPDATE: This behavior still occurs after the iOS 16 upgrade.

This behavior appears to have changed since updating to iOS 16.2. I created a new bookmark and placed it at the top of the list. I opened the bookmark, then deleted the history. When long-pressing, the middle of the three bookmarks appeared in the Open Recent list, not the one at the top of the list as previous. When I deleted the new bookmark, deleted all history, the new bookmark which I have deleted, still appeared in my long-press menu under Open Last Bookmark.

I've shut down the device and this behavior still happens.
