User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:106.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/106.0

Steps to reproduce:

Install firefox nightly (106.0a1 (2022-08-30)) on a debian sid box with a GTX 1650 with nouveau drivers on a 3840x2160 screen.
Open https://www.android-x86.org/

This bug does not appear on every load and disappears with page reload.

Actual results:

Upon opening the menu on the site the decorative box-shadow is rendered incorrectly, in a slightly different way every time. Animations of the shadow's background also changed appearance of the shadow in areas outside the changing background.

Expected results:

The shadow should have been rendered according to specification.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Graphics: WebRender' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Thanks for the report! Looks like a nouveau driver issue to me - can you share your about:support? ("Copy text to clipboard" -> paste in a comment here -> bugzilla will ask to make an attachment out it -> yes)

Attached file about-support.json

Attached the about:support as you asked, but did not paste the text version because it is in czech.

Thanks. Hm, this is surprising: you're running on software rendering (which is usually expected to be correct) - and for WebGL only llvmpipe is reported. AFAIK this should only happen if something about your GPU driver setup is quite broken. Can you enable gfx.webrender.all and post another about:support with that?

Severity: -- → S3
Priority: -- → P3

And I do have some weird issues. For example enabling hardware rendering made firefox actually noticably slower than with software rendering alone.

You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
