Steps to reproduce:
-
Subscribe to a caldav calendar on a given server, using the caldav discovery dialog.
-
In the credential model, tick the "Remember my password" checkbox.
-
Subscribe to another caldav calendar on the same server, still using the caldav discovery dialog.
Actual results:
I was again prompted for a password, although mine had already been saved.
Expected results:
Thunderbird should have tried to discover the available calendars using the existing password matching the server and the username.

Sorry if I'm bothering you Magnus, but can I do something to help get this bug to CONFIRMED state?
Or maybe this bug report becomes irrelevant with the new account hub coming (and then, may I ask if it this hub is planned for 115)?
If not, maybe it should be linked to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1789966 as enhancement?

The account hub changes are not really backend, so I wouldn't think there's any impact.
I don't know why password wouldn't be reused. For calendars using OAuth (e.g. google) the previous creds are used.

I can confirm the inital description. It prompts for a password regarless if a username provided.
I opened bug #1922207 that is related.
