A day or two ago containers were disabled after a Nightly restart. I restarted again and containers were back but with the defaults -- my customizations had vanished.
I recreated some of my configuration and today (23 September) it happened again. I restarted and there were no containers (and Facebook was trying to load in the default container). I restarted and containers were enabled.
The two container add-ons I use are Amazon Container and Facebook Container.

Moving this issue to the Web extensions product, it seems that Container settings will reset to default settings.
This could be related to Bug 1479737 or Bug 1549204.
Its hard to understand what the issue is here, I tried to reproduce the issue on our end but after many restarts Facebook and Amazon would always launch in their respective Containers.
That being said the Custom settings I set for Amazon and Facebook in about:preferences like color and icon are never saved after restarting Firefox.
maybe Firefox: Preferences is a more suitable component ?
