Set release status flags based on info from the regressing bug 1789507

The upgrade of the rust compiler may have made some code bigger due to more inlining or similar optimization-related changes. I haven't looked at the other size graphs, but it also could be that the new code compresses worse than before while not having increased significantly. Considering the regression size, let's just take it.
