Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 I am having repeated properties corruption - characterized by pulling somethig down on a menu - first it was "Edit->Preferences", then "Window->Mail & Newsgroups". Mozilla hangs and goes into a 100% CPU loop with read(38, "", 8192) = 0 executing rapidly (from strace.) There is no way to recover except to kill the looping process, which exits. Perhaps coincidentally, the most recent change I made to my properties in both cases was to uncheck "Leave mail on server" in the propeties of my POP email account. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure mozilla 2. After a few hours of use, properties corruption occurs. 3. Actual Results: No recovery possible except to reconfigur properties. Expected Results: Check read() return status. Tarball of my configruation is available.
So far, unable to find which file the FD has open, bu up to now deleting the XUL.mfasl file and restarting has successfully cleared the problem every time.
Summary: Repeated properties corruption; 100% cpu on read(), Mozilla parts unusable → Repeated properties corruption; 100% cpu on read(), XUL.mfasl file corrupt?
