1794436 - Upgrade from 95? to 105 turned my Firefox.exe shortcuts into PDF icons

I had a machine I hadn't turned on for 9 months months, so it was at Firefox 95 I believe.

I had three icons on the desktop where I had manually created shortcuts to Firefox.exe, two to invoke specific profiles and one to invoke the profile manager.

After upgrading to the latest version of Firefox the desktop icons were converted to PDF icons. See attached image.

I have not made any other changes to the machine, so if there is something to debug after the fact, I can do that.

NI to me to investigate the registry settings. The plausible explanation is that we bumped the EXE resources but didn't accommodate this in the shortcuts links. We are pretty careful to only append resources to avoid these issues, but of course we might have made a mistake (or missed a required migration).

I don't think this is related to File Handling, since there's no Firefox icon handling in this component, moving to Update handling, but feel free to move to a better component in case.
