Chrome bug: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1367671

Google dev said that looks like firefox is using an sRGB color profile whereas chrome is using a wider gamut. Seems like this is a problem with firefox.

(Prerequisite)

  1. Using Display monitor BenQ GW2283
  2. Download ICC profile of the BenQ GW2283 is available from https://www.benq.com/en-us/support/downloads-faq/products/monitor/gw2283/software-driver.html . Download and extract 'GW2283.ICM'.
  3. Install the icm file.
    1) Navigate to 'Control Panel' – View By to 'Small Icons' – 'Colour Management'.
    2) Ensure the 'Use my settings for this device’ checkbox is checked.
    3) Press the 'Add' button and then 'Browse…' to the 'GW2283.ICM'. Press 'Add' then 'OK'. Note that if multiple ICC profiles are listed you will have to set the desired profile as default by clicking 'Set as Default Profile', too.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start Firefox or Nightly with new clean profile
  2. Open data:text/html,<body style="background-color:blue"></body>
  3. Compere result of Chrome(Chromium)

Actual Results:
Firefox slightly darker color than Google Chrome
See attached screenshot

Expected Reslts:
Both same color
