Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:105.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/105.0
Steps to reproduce:
Right-clicking a link and choosing "Copy Link", seems to always cause this issue on my end.
Actual results:
The browser freezes for about 10 seconds. Videos still play, if visible, but I cannot click any UI elements or interact with the open page.
Here's a profile recording of the issue which shows it in action quite clearly: https://share.firefox.dev/3SYCYJl
I'm running Firefox 105 stable on the Windows 11 beta insider preview. On the same computer I also run Fedora 37, and there I have no issues.
Set product to core as requested on #perf:mozilla.org. Can provide any additional information as needed!
On a final note, this happened around the same time as I switched from Windows 11 stable to the Windows 11 beta insider channel. I don't know if this is a coincidence or directly related, but it's worth pointing out.
Update on this issue: I can successfully replicate the same issue (although not every time) when copy-pasting anything, including using the keyboard shortcut rather than the right-click menu and including things that are not links. The actual issue acts exactly the same.
