The API certainly isn't used a lot, but still a tiny bit. It is also not very surprising that it isn't used too much, given that it has been shipping only in Chrome. And such specific scheduling isn't needed in most web sites.
But it also doesn't help much to keep it enabled on Nightly only for a long time.
