It would be better if the size automatically expanded to show the entire URL if possible. If blank, it should start out at the default size and then grow or shrink as needed. Either that, or it should be based on the size of the window. Also, command-period does not work to activate the cancel button, as it does on virtually every other Macintosh application. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. customize toolbar so no location entry field is shown 2. type command-L (apple-L) Actual Results: sheet opens at fixed size. too small to see long URLs. Expected Results: open sheet with width determined by either window or length of URL (prefereably URL length). Alternately, show location bar as a seperate bar underneath the toolbar (spanning he window width), and highlight it. If opening sheet, have width fluctuate dynamically based on length of URL.
Brad, would you like to be able to resize the Location sheet? I think they can do that.
Well, if it can't be resized dynamically according to its content length (with certain minimums), then manual resizing would be next best. Last choice would be that it is resized dynamically according to the width of the window. It might look funny if I had a sheet that was the full width of my 21" monitor, when most of my windows are half that, but that is probably what I would do if I had to resize it manually (assuming the width was saved as a default), just so I knew it would show my longest URL without further effort.
