+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1631615 +++

Bug #1631615 was closed several years ago, and this clone was created as the issue (or a similar issue) still exists in Firefox 106.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 11.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set gfx.color_management.mode to 1
  2. Load website (listed below)

A few websites (weirdly all related to weather) where this issue is present:

As in the original bug, these website work properly when gfx.color_management.mode is set to 2 rather than 1.

Attached, please see the color profile currently in use on this computer, as well as screenshots from the three websites listed above.

Kelsey, this doesn't reproduce for me on macOS; can you reproduce it on Windows?

Flags: needinfo?(jgilbert)

You can probably reproduce it on macos if you set gfx.color_management.native_srgb=false

Just tried and I still can't reproduce on macOS, not even with that pref set to that value.

Is it possible to try when using the icc profile I attached above? Perhaps it's triggered by certain profiles.

Looks weird but "correct" with that profile on my macOS setup with the above prefs set.

I expect this to be fixed by bug 1701760

Depends on: 1701760

gfx.color_management.mode=1 is a non-default configuration so I'm down grading this to S3

Severity: S2 → S3
