The last two or so WPT updates introduced a lot of new meta annotations for otherwise completely working tests. It would be nice to get rid of them again.
expected:
if (os == "android") and fission: [OK, TIMEOUT]

This is really quite annoying when triaging still failing tests by looking at the meta directory. Could we try removing all those annotations and see on try how much fails?

Yeah, I don't think there's too much difficulty in removing them. The problem really is I don't understand where they came from in the first place, so it's possible the sync will just recreate them again.

Could we dry run sync and see if they would come back after deletion? I can't be the only one who is annoyed by this.

I just remove them whenever I touch any test metadata, and batch removal will be great to prevent such hassle.

I see failures when I try to remove some of these annotations: https://treeherder.mozilla.org/jobs?repo=try&revision=296fec4fda52037dbd4de573ec2a2923ae238cbf. Created https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1843877.

That doesn't mean every marked test are affected, the annotation has been successfully removed here and there.
