The bash script codesign.bash
is in the tree, but it's not very useful for codesigning Firefox. It is not maintained and not what we use to sign official builds. It was included when we first supported notarization and never used. I plan to remove that script with this bug and file a docs bug to document how a developer can codesign and notarize a local build to produce a result matching our official builds.

Remove the unmaintained codesign.bash script.
Production builds are signed in automation using the Release Engineering script scriptworker-scripts/iscript.
