As a follow up to https://mozilla-hub.atlassian.net/browse/FNXV2-21832 , the frecent sites list will additionally be filtered by host/domain in order to prevent duplicates of sponsored sites. There will also be false-negatives that will be suppressed(e.g. suppress an Amazon Playstation product page tile if Amazon homepage sponsored tile is present).

Verified as fixed on Nightly 110 from 12/29 with Google Pixel 6 (Android 13). Duplicate frecent sites for the provided Sponsored Top Sites are no longer displayed.
