Another steps to reproduce:

  1. Add search bar in toolbar from about:preferences#search

  2. Maximize the browser

  3. Drag the splitter to make the search bar as wide as possible

  4. Restore browser sizemode

  5. Attempt to resize the search bar by dragging the splitter

Actual results:
The search bar cannot be resized at all.

Expected results:
The search bar can be resized.
