Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:107.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/107.0

Steps to reproduce:

Had a long session where I opened many windows and tabs. Also closed many windows and tabs. Shutdown Firefox, restarted it, selected Restore Previous Session.

Actual results:

Restored all windows and tabs every used in previous session.

Expected results:

Only windows and tabs open when FF was shutdown should have been opened upon restart at my request. I.e. Save and restore the session's state at the point of shutdown.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Session Restore' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hi,

I have tested your issue on latest FF release 108, Beta 109.0b2 and the latest Nightly build 110.0a1 (2022-12-14) using macOS 10.15 but I am not able to reproduce it. The already closed tabs and windows are not restored anymore on my end.
If the issue is still reproducible on your end, can you please retest this using latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8) to eliminate the potential causes.

Thanks for the report.

I just retested it and it seems to work ok now.
