I can view the store fine its just that firefox android ignores the settings i have enabled for default links in android and opens the steam app regardless of what i have set unless i turn off open links in app in firefox.

This sounds expected. Open in app will forward you to the app for any website that has an app defined in the page and you have that app installed. If you don't want to be sent to the app then you should disable the open in app preference.

The problem is unless this isn't a bug maybe it should be a feature request is that i like the open in app feature in firefox android but i don;t want it done with some apps like the steam app for example and that could be done if firefox used something akin to what chrome does where it uses the default links system that android has built in.

Roger, I think this is fixed/working correctly. Do you think we should close it, if so?

Yes, this is an expected behaviour. To avoid redirecting to external app, the user can either set to "Never" open links in apps. Or set to the "Ask before opening" so they can make the decision when Firefox Android is about to open the links in the external app.
