Why/User Benefit/User Problem

When typing a URL into the address bar, I get suggestions from my history. Some I want to remove/delete. I can't see an easy way to remove them. I can remove them from within History but that means I'd have to find each individual visit and remove them.

I support this feature request.

1. I currently have to know exactly on which day the last call took place in order to be able to delete the entry specifically, because I can currently search through the history, but results can only be called up but not edited directly (e.g. delete ). Calling up the URL again as a workaround does not always work to drag the entry to the current date in the history.

2. In some cases, these fragments cannot be found in history at all.

You can already delete a specific URL / history entry.
But you can not delete an entire site.
Which makes deleting a specific history entry pointless,
as merely the next one will pop in its place instead.
And having to manually go through all the history entries… when you literally hold a freaking computer in your hand, whole whole point is the automation of repetitive tasks… is freaking insane. … Nobody programmed like that before iOS. Even Windows wasn’t like that, back then. … Steve Jobs really pushed back human development for decades!

So: This bug should be converted into a general one, that it should be impossible to create any list-like widget whatsoever, that doesn’t allow selection based on patterns and sets aswell as applying actions to all selected items of that list.
This would prevent the entire category of problems from ever appearing again.
Even if really, this should be built into Android. But since that’s the opposite of what Googlethulu wants, we have to do it.

I have looked at bug 1807755 again. In my opinion, this does not correspond 1:1 with this ticket. 1807755 also addresses other points.

If I enter some something in the URL bar, the resulting search results coming from my history and bookmarks should have a context menu with the usual options (open in new tab, copy, share, edit (if bookmark), delete, etc.) available.

For bookmarks there is bug 1813089.

But what about the desired features “open in new tab”, ‘copy’ and “share”? If these features have not yet been recorded separately, I recommend either reopening 1807755 or opening one or more new bugs for these features.
