Steps to reproduce:

firefox crashes sometimes when popup or tool-tip is created.

that includes right clicking text address bar, tool-tip or right clicking tabs, even right clicking in a web page to get the menu.
it is not reproducible exactly. but only happens with right click or tool-tip trying to show.

and I don't think if any addon causes this.

this is the info that may be related.

I have firefox installed in archlinux. it runs in a kde wayland environment.
I have fractional scaling enabled (I list this not as a reason for crash but as info that may be needed)
I have amd apu (5700u).

if I am not wrong this started with firefox 107.x versions.

I will try to install gnome to see if the crash happens there too but because the crash is not almost random but only on tool-tip and right click, it may not trigger so that takes time.

also I have tried disabling kde plasma effect for tool-tip and at first I thought it helped but the crash happened again.

is there any parameters that I can pass to firefox in command line format that will show me what error is reported at the crash time? like a debug thing?

firefox crashes.

Expected results:

it shouldn't.

I think you hit Bug 1792091.
