Currently we have a DAMP test to track the overall performance of the project search.

I think that another valuable test would be one that tracks the User perceived performance (i.e the time from the start of a search to the time the user gets the first result back).

Lets add that with this bug.

Interesting metrics

  • Time to display first source that includes the search item
  • Time to display first search result for the first source which includes the search item.

This patch adds a new DAMP test to track the time to when the user is able to interact with a clickable search result match.
