Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
After the Mozilla installer runs, and Mozilla opens the first time, it asks if
you would like it to be the default browser. If you click "Yes", the program
stops responding. If you click "No", the browser runs normally. If you click
"NO" and go to the preferences dialog and click the "Set Default Browser"
button, the program stops responding at this point too.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install Mozilla on a Windows XP Home system
2.Run Mozilla
3.When it asks if you want it to be the default browser, click "Yes", or "Yes"
and unclick "ask me next time".
1.Run Mozilla
2.Go to Preferences
3.Click "Set default browser"
Actual Results:
Program stopped responding. Hourglass is visible iside Mozilla only. Other open
programs will continue to run normally. Title bar of Mozilla is active, and will
allow you to shut it down, at which point XP opens up a bug report window of
their own, saying you ended a non-responsive program, do you wish to report it?
Expected Results:
Mozilla should set itself to be the default browser, and the program should
continue to run normally
Computer is a new Hewlett-Packard ze4115, running Windows XP Home. Orninoco
Silver wirless card is installed.
