got reply from IBM team: "The current IBM WebSphere Portal Portlet Catalog is running on top of WebSphere Portal V2.1. This version of WebSphere Portal did not support Netscape 7 nor Mozilla. The current version of WebSphere Portal (v4.1) does support these browsers. The next version of the Portlet Catalog will be based on WebSphere Portal v4.1. It is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2003." Could also solve bug 131954.
