The attachments on mail are not showing in the main mail window - i.e. the
"attachment" sub-window is empty for mail with attachments.
However, the mail subject line shows the "paperclip" icon, so the system knows
there is an attachment there.
If the mail is opened in a seperate window, then the attachment shows.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a mail with an attachment
2 [review]. Open that mail in the main window
3.
Actual Results:
Attachment "subwindow" is empty
Expected Results:
Attachment should show in attachment subwindow.
Will attach annotated screen caps after the bug is submitted....

This is the main mail window, showing a message that has an attachment (note
the paperclip on the icon) but not showing the actual attachment in the
attachment window. Sensitive information redacted.

The same message as attachment #107026 [details], showing that the attachment does
correctly show in a stand-alone window.
I've seen this behavior too on Solaris, but it is hard to reproduce.
If you restart mozilla it seems to get the mailbox into a sane state again
and message attachements start appearing again - however it doesn't explain
why the attachment does show in the seperate window.

I can confirm this comment - restarted Moz and now attachments show up in the
main window.
I normally don't restart Moz for days at a time (take that IE!) and so this
condition "persisted" till I restarted.
Will keep an eye out and see if it "goes stupid" over time, and if so what
breaks it.
Hi All,
This just stated happening to me when I upgraded to one of the nightlies.
I am running 1.3.0.2002122008 on w2k-p, sp3. It reproduces ALL the time
(never goes away).
I am also running Red Hat 8 and 1.3.0.2002120921 and it DOES NOT happen.
And, to add insult, in Windows, when I open the (any) message in a seperate
window, I get a perfectly blank window. Nothing, zip, just a snow storm. :-(
Many thanks,
--Tony

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
