User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 When I try to download a file with rpm as the extension name (*.rpm), say I click on a filename such as "gaim-0.59.6-1.i386.rpm", normally a mirror page should be up so to redirect to other locations to download the file. But in mozilla 1.2 beta, the redirection just stalled, with a black screen and nothing shows up. When I remove the Real Player plugin (rpnp.so, raclass.zip), this problem goes away. Note that this is a problem found in Mozilla 1.2 beta. 1.1 and previous version has no such problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install Real player plugin for mozilla 1.2 beta 2.Go to a sourceforge site hosting *.rpm files 3.Go to the file section, click on the file name with *.rpm extension Actual Results: After clicking on a rpm file link, the page will be loaded - nothing but only a black screen shows up. Expected Results: It should show a list or mirror pages hosting the rpm file. 1. This bug does not exist on mozilla.org 1.1 or the version before, I believe 2. Other file on sourceforge.net with a different extension name (such as zip, tgz, tar.gz) has NO such problem. 3. I believe the Real Player plugin has mistakenly intercepted the rpm extension in this situation. Removing the Real Player plugin the download page will be redirected as normally used to be.
This has been fixed for a while and will be fixed in 1.2 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 169991 ***
