Besides upgrading to JRE 1.4.1_01, I have little clue whatsoever. Does it happen in every graphic mode: 32bpp, 16bpp ?
Installed JRE 1.4.1_01 ... still crashes I use 16bpp
a crash in module <unkown> looks like a crash somewhere but not in Mozilla. No wonder that TB can't catch this crash. Reporter: Can you reproduce this on a URL or is this crash random ?
Seems to be random. I can usually re-open Mozilla and access the URL that just caused it to crash.

AMCJavelin, do you crash when upgrading your video drivers to 6.60 (according to http://mirror.ati.com/support/drivers/powered.html ) or Catalyst 2.5 (7.80) ?
According to the Nvidia website, I have the lastest, 4.13
Removed old ATI driver and installed VGA. Tried to update with 6.60 driver and ran into problems. During installation received a SU registry error which ceased it. Cannot reload 6.60 drivers. With no success loading new drivers, tried to update with older 4.13.7078. Upon reboot got a blank screen due to monitor going into suspend mode. Removed ATI driver in safe mode. Rebooted into Win 98 which found the 4.13 drivers and now finally works again! Beforehand Mozilla crashed every usage with gklayout.dll or unknown faults. Gave up and tried using Netscape Commmunicator 4.79. Had crashes with that as well. Also hyperlinks stopped working. I GIVE UP!!!
Okay, I took a step back today and assessed the situation. Apparently the VGA driver was conflicting with the ATI 4.13.7078, which was not removed from the display. This caused the SU Reg error when loading in the 6.60 drivers. I now have the 6.60 drivers installed, so we'll see how these work out. I was receiving many unknown faults and gklayout.dll errors before.

This is ATI's lastest driver release 4.13.7192 for the Fury Pro, so I'm going to try it. Otherwise, please fix this bug immediately! http://mirror.ati.com/support/drivers/winme/winmer1284137192.html
I'm really getting sick of this $#!? MOZILLA caused an invalid page fault in module GKLAYOUT.DLL at 018f:607382df.
Are you sure that you have a build with Talkback and Talkback is not disabled ? Talkback should be catch a crash in gklayout.dll (but possible not in module <unkown>)
I have Mozilla 1.1 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 The updates notifications is checked in preferences. I don't see anything about talkback in it.
Do you have mozilla/components/talkback.exe ? And Please update to 1.2.1 or better 1.3a since bugs reports from old builds are useless. Since this is not your bug report and you get a different error and this is wfm without additional informations -> wfm Please report your own bug if you stillo crash with 1.3a

Okay I'll try out the newer Mozilla version. Before I do, I need to know how to save passwords and bookmarks. Thanks.
They are stored into your profile. You wil NOT loose your settings if you uninstall mozilla !
Alright, I am trying out the newest 1.3a version. Let's see how this performs.
Been using version 1.2.1 for two months now and seems to be pretty stable running on Win98 SE.
